Role Overview – Accounts Manager
The Accounts Manager will take responsibility for client accounts, review junior staff work, and ensure compliance and accuracy in preparation and reporting. Key responsibilities include:
Reviewing junior preparation work and providing guidance and support
Preparing accounts for more complex clients from computerised balanced records
Reviewing accounts before partner sign-off and discussing findings with clients
Managing client workflows, WIP, billing, and general file ownership
Increasing client contact over time and attending to client queries
Collaborating with partners and other team members to ensure high-quality service
Candidate Requirements
Qualified at AAT Level 4, ACCA, or ACA
Experience working in a UK accountancy practice
Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and client management
Confident in reviewing and mentoring junior staff
Able to attend Fremington or South Molton offices as required
Flexible and adaptable with strong organisation and communication skills
