A well-established accountancy firm in Sheffield (S8) is seeking an experienced and qualified Accounts Manager to join their Business Services Group. This role offers hybrid working after probation and an excellent package for ambitious accounting professionals.

Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of clients, overseeing accounts and compliance services
Review annual accounts for companies, partnerships, and sole traders
Prepare accounts for complex client portfolios
Monitor WIP recovery and budgets, demonstrating commercial awareness
Advise clients on accounting, tax, and cloud software solutions
Draft client bills and manage WIP and fees
Mentor and support trainees, addressing knowledge gaps and regulatory compliance
Attend departmental and strategic planning meetings
Maintain up-to-date CPD and share technical/regulatory updates with colleagues
Candidate Requirements
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
Proven experience managing a client portfolio in a practice environment
Strong commercial awareness and organisational skills
Experience with cloud accounting software preferred
Ability to mentor junior staff and contribute to team development
Excellent communication skills and client-facing confidence
