About the Firm
A well-established accountancy firm is seeking an experienced and qualified Accounts Manager to join its Business Services Group. This is a full-time role with hybrid working available post-probation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of clients, overseeing the preparation of financial statements and other compliance services
- Review annual accounts for companies, partnerships, and sole traders
- Prepare accounts for more complex clients
- Monitor WIP recovery and budgets; demonstrate strong commercial awareness
- Advise clients on accounting and tax matters; provide cloud software support
- Draft client bills; manage WIP and fees
- Mentor and develop Trainees; address knowledge gaps and ensure understanding of regulations
- Attend and contribute to departmental and strategic planning meetings
- Maintain up-to-date CPD and share technical/regulatory updates with colleagues
