Accounts Manager – Opportunity to Progress to Director/Shareholder 

Hours: Full-time, Permanent 
Salary: Depended on Experience (Ask Recruiter)

About: 
A dynamic accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Manager to join its growing team. The firm focuses on delivering strategic, accountancy, and asset protection services, working closely with clients to help them achieve their goals. Known for building strong, long-term client relationships, the practice supports a diverse portfolio—from sole traders to multinational corporations—while maintaining a commitment to delivering the highest level of personal service. 

Job Purpose 
As the business continues to expand, it is looking for a driven and ambitious individual to maintain its strong market reputation and deliver high-quality client services.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Managing a team of staff 
  • Overseeing a portfolio of clients
  • Reviewing annual accounts and corporation tax 
  • Preparing annual accounts for larger clients 
  • Preparing corporation tax returns 
  • Producing detailed management accounts in Excel 
  • Training junior staff 
  • Participating in business development and client onboarding (desirable but not essential) 

Candidate Profile 

  • The ideal candidate will have: 
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a practice environment 
  • Experience in managing client relationships 
  • Proficiency in preparing year-end accounts 
  • AAT, ACA, or ACCA qualification 
  • A positive, can-do attitude and professional presentation 
  • Familiarity with Iris software (advantageous)
