Role Overview
The Accounts Semi-Senior will work on a variety of complex client accounts, preparing statutory and management accounts, corporation tax computations, and supervising junior staff. This role provides the opportunity to build strong client relationships while developing technical and commercial expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare statutory accounts, management accounts, and corporation tax computations for sole traders, limited companies, and partnerships
Build and maintain long-lasting client relationships
Manage your own workload efficiently, ensuring assignments are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard
Supervise, train, and assist junior team members
Liaise with seniors, managers, and partners on complex assignments
Use a range of accounting software packages including CCH, Sage, and Xero
Apply and develop your technical and commercial knowledge in a variety of client scenarios
Foster collaborative working relationships with colleagues and team members
Candidate Requirements
ACCA / ACA qualified or finalist
Minimum 3 years’ UK practice accounts experience
University degree with 2:1 or equivalent (or 3 good A-levels)
Strong communication, interpersonal, and client management skills
Proactive, confident, and professional with a can-do attitude
Experience supervising and developing junior staff
Strong IT skills, particularly Excel, and ability to learn new software quickly
High attention to detail and ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment
SRA experience is advantageous but not essential
