About the Role
We’re representing a well-established and highly regarded Scottish accountancy firm with a strong reputation for collaboration, approachability, and delivering outstanding client service. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Accounts Senior to join their Accounting & Business Solutions team in Glasgow. This is a client-facing role offering exposure to a diverse portfolio and the opportunity to play a key role in both technical delivery and team development within a supportive, people-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare annual accounts for limited companies, LLPs, and partnerships.

Prepare and carry out independent examinations for larger charities and trusts.

Take responsibility for monthly and quarterly reporting for a varied client portfolio.

Attend and work at client premises where required.

Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, handling queries efficiently and escalating where appropriate.

Coach and support junior team members on a day-to-day basis.

Ensure high technical standards and compliance with accounting and reporting requirements.

Contribute to continuous improvement and best practice within the team.
Ideal Candidate Profile

ACCA or CA qualified (or equivalent).

Strong accounts preparation experience gained within a professional practice environment.

Good numerical, analytical, and data interpretation skills.

Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero and Sage.

Strong client-facing skills with the ability to build effective relationships across sectors.

Commercially aware, organised, and able to manage multiple deadlines.

Proactive approach to CPD with solid technical knowledge.

High standards of professionalism with the ability to take ownership of work.

Experience with accounts production software is advantageous.
