The Opportunity
A well-established and growing accountancy practice in Liverpool is seeking an Accounts Senior to join their team.
This is a client-facing role where the successful candidate will take ownership of a portfolio, deliver high-quality accounts and tax work, and support the development of junior team members. The position offers a strong blend of technical delivery, client interaction and advisory exposure.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring all work is accurate and delivered on time
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
- Prepare and review statutory accounts and tax returns
- Plan and manage tax work, offering practical and strategic advice
- Review work produced by junior staff and provide constructive feedback
- Support and mentor junior team members to aid their development
- Assist with advisory projects and client decision-making
- Manage deadlines effectively while maintaining high service standards
Skills & Experience Required
- ACCA / ICAEW qualified or part-qualified (or equivalent)
- Strong technical knowledge across accounts and tax
- Experience using accounting and tax software
- Commercial awareness with the ability to understand client needs
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Confident communicator with a professional approach to client interaction
