The Opportunity
A well-established and growing accountancy practice in Liverpool is seeking an Accounts Senior to join their team.
This is a client-facing role where the successful candidate will take ownership of a portfolio, deliver high-quality accounts and tax work, and support the development of junior team members. The position offers a strong blend of technical delivery, client interaction and advisory exposure.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring all work is accurate and delivered on time
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
Prepare and review statutory accounts and tax returns
Plan and manage tax work, offering practical and strategic advice
Review work produced by junior staff and provide constructive feedback
Support and mentor junior team members to aid their development
Assist with advisory projects and client decision-making
Manage deadlines effectively while maintaining high service standards
Skills & Experience Required
ACCA / ICAEW qualified or part-qualified (or equivalent)
Strong technical knowledge across accounts and tax
Experience using accounting and tax software
Commercial awareness with the ability to understand client needs
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Confident communicator with a professional approach to client interaction
