Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Audit Advisor to join their expanding audit team in Bolton. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and detail-oriented professional to progress within a collaborative environment that values development, teamwork, and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the senior management team in delivering audit and accounting services to a wide range of clients.
Plan, implement, and complete audit assignments, ensuring all work meets internal and external compliance standards.
Visit client sites to oversee audits, support junior team members, and take responsibility for complex file areas.
Communicate effectively with both junior colleagues and senior management, providing updates and feedback throughout engagements.
Prepare statutory financial statements from client data with accuracy and attention to detail.
Ensure all audits are supported by sufficient documentation and clear conclusions.
Mentor and assist in developing junior members of the team, ensuring workload is distributed effectively.
Manage and nurture client relationships, delivering a high level of service and professional support.
Complete all administrative tasks (including timesheets and billing) promptly and to a high standard.
Maintain compliance with all internal procedures and external regulatory requirements.
Ideal Candidate Profile
ACCA / ICAS / ICAEW qualified (newly qualified or part-qualified also considered).
Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in external audit within an accountancy practice.
Strong understanding of UK auditing standards, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and confident manner.
Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Experience with Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or CCH software (desirable).
