Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Audit Advisor to join their expanding audit team in Bolton. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and detail-oriented professional to progress within a collaborative environment that values development, teamwork, and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the senior management team in delivering audit and accounting services to a wide range of clients.

  • Plan, implement, and complete audit assignments, ensuring all work meets internal and external compliance standards.

  • Visit client sites to oversee audits, support junior team members, and take responsibility for complex file areas.

  • Communicate effectively with both junior colleagues and senior management, providing updates and feedback throughout engagements.

  • Prepare statutory financial statements from client data with accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Ensure all audits are supported by sufficient documentation and clear conclusions.

  • Mentor and assist in developing junior members of the team, ensuring workload is distributed effectively.

  • Manage and nurture client relationships, delivering a high level of service and professional support.

  • Complete all administrative tasks (including timesheets and billing) promptly and to a high standard.

  • Maintain compliance with all internal procedures and external regulatory requirements.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • ACCA / ICAS / ICAEW qualified (newly qualified or part-qualified also considered).

  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in external audit within an accountancy practice.

  • Strong understanding of UK auditing standards, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and confident manner.

  • Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Experience with Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or CCH software (desirable).

  • Proactive, collaborative mindset with a passion for professional development.
