The practice provides comprehensive audit, tax, and advisory services to a broad client portfolio across Yorkshire and beyond. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to take ownership of a varied portfolio, lead a talented team, and play a key role in the continued growth and development of the firm.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of audit and accountancy clients across multiple sectors
Plan, perform, and finalise audit and accounts assignments in line with UK auditing and accounting standards
Supervise, review, and mentor junior and part-qualified staff, ensuring quality and consistency in deliverables
Attend client meetings, provide practical business advice, and act as a trusted point of contact
Manage workflow, budgets, and deadlines across multiple engagements
Contribute to the firm’s business development initiatives and client retention strategies
Collaborate with senior leadership on firm-wide projects, process improvements, and technical updates
Support directors on ad hoc advisory work and specialist assignments
Take responsibility for billing, recoveries, and work-in-progress management within your portfolio
Ideal Candidate Profile
ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
Minimum of 5 years’ post-qualified experience in audit and accounts within an accountancy practice
Excellent working knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102, and auditing standards
Proven track record in leading assignments and managing client relationships
Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
Commercially astute, with the ability to identify opportunities for adding client value
Full UK driving licence and access to transport
