The practice provides comprehensive audit, tax, and advisory services to a broad client portfolio across Yorkshire and beyond. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to take ownership of a varied portfolio, lead a talented team, and play a key role in the continued growth and development of the firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of audit and accountancy clients across multiple sectors

  • Plan, perform, and finalise audit and accounts assignments in line with UK auditing and accounting standards

  • Supervise, review, and mentor junior and part-qualified staff, ensuring quality and consistency in deliverables

  • Attend client meetings, provide practical business advice, and act as a trusted point of contact

  • Manage workflow, budgets, and deadlines across multiple engagements

  • Contribute to the firm’s business development initiatives and client retention strategies

  • Collaborate with senior leadership on firm-wide projects, process improvements, and technical updates

  • Support directors on ad hoc advisory work and specialist assignments

  • Take responsibility for billing, recoveries, and work-in-progress management within your portfolio

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)

  • Minimum of 5 years’ post-qualified experience in audit and accounts within an accountancy practice

  • Excellent working knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102, and auditing standards

  • Proven track record in leading assignments and managing client relationships

  • Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills

  • Commercially astute, with the ability to identify opportunities for adding client value

  • Full UK driving licence and access to transport
