Role Overview
The Audit & Assurance Manager will lead and manage audit engagements, ensuring high-quality delivery, effective team workflow, and client satisfaction. This role involves client liaison, team management, and contributing to business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prioritise, and allocate client work effectively, ensuring smooth team workflow
Confirm client agreement on work scope and fees prior to engagement to maximise fee recovery
Monitor work progress, providing regular updates to clients and internal stakeholders, highlighting key issues and areas of concern
Monitor individual and team performance against objectives and departmental KPIs
Support the wider Audit & Assurance team in achieving incremental fee targets via networking, client meetings, business pitches, and marketing initiatives
Candidate Requirements:
ACA, ACCA, or ICAS qualified
Strong knowledge of UK taxes including Corporate Tax, VAT, and PAYE to ensure accurate financial statements
Excellent understanding and practical experience of International Standards of Auditing (UK & Ireland)
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Team player, willing to support colleagues as required
Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and prioritisation skills, able to meet strict deadlines
Proactive and initiative-driven with strong communication skills
