Role Overview

The Audit & Assurance Manager will lead and manage audit engagements, ensuring high-quality delivery, effective team workflow, and client satisfaction. This role involves client liaison, team management, and contributing to business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prioritise, and allocate client work effectively, ensuring smooth team workflow

  • Confirm client agreement on work scope and fees prior to engagement to maximise fee recovery

  • Monitor work progress, providing regular updates to clients and internal stakeholders, highlighting key issues and areas of concern

  • Monitor individual and team performance against objectives and departmental KPIs

  • Support the wider Audit & Assurance team in achieving incremental fee targets via networking, client meetings, business pitches, and marketing initiatives

Candidate Requirements:

  • ACA, ACCA, or ICAS qualified

  • Strong knowledge of UK taxes including Corporate Tax, VAT, and PAYE to ensure accurate financial statements

  • Excellent understanding and practical experience of International Standards of Auditing (UK & Ireland)

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

  • Team player, willing to support colleagues as required

  • Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and prioritisation skills, able to meet strict deadlines

  • Proactive and initiative-driven with strong communication skills
