Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day audit delivery, ensuring assignments are completed to a high standard and within agreed timelines

Apply a strong working knowledge of ISAs and relevant frameworks such as FRS 102 and IFRS, escalating complex technical matters when required

Act as the main client contact during audit fieldwork, building strong relationships and resolving queries efficiently

Prepare complete and accurate audit files, ensuring readiness for managerial review

Review junior team members’ work, provide constructive feedback, and support their professional growth

Assist in drafting completion documents and financial statements under supervision

Participate in audit close-down meetings and contribute to discussions on findings and improvements

Support and mentor junior staff through training, coaching, and progress reviews

Maintain CPD compliance in line with professional standards (minimum 40 hours annually)

Manage multiple audit engagements effectively, meeting deadlines and maintaining quality

Assist with client onboarding and offboarding in accordance with AML procedures

Identify opportunities to cross-sell the firm’s wider service offerings
Ideal Candidate Profile
-
ACA / ACCA qualified or part-qualified with significant audit experience
-
Minimum 3 years’ audit experience within a professional practice environment

Proven track record managing varied audit engagements and maintaining client relationships

Strong technical understanding of ISAs, UK GAAP, and FRS 102
-
Excellent communication and time management skills

Proactive, adaptable, and client-focused with strong attention to detail
-
Confident working autonomously while contributing effectively to a team environment
