We are working with a well-established independent accountancy practice in South Manchester to recruit an Audit Associate Manager. This opportunity offers a salary of up to £46,500, clear progression, and the chance to work with a varied portfolio of SME clients across the North West.

What you will do
Audit Delivery
Support in managing and delivering audit assignments across a mixed client portfolio
Assist with planning, fieldwork, and completion stages
Review work completed by junior team members
Ensure audits are delivered within deadlines and budgets
Help maintain strong technical standards across the audit process
Team Support and Development
Guide and support junior colleagues during audit engagements
Provide coaching and feedback to help develop their skills
Lead smaller teams on site and take responsibility for day-to-day workflow
Client Relationships
Build positive working relationships with clients across sectors such as manufacturing, TMT, lifestyle, and leisure
Develop an understanding of each client’s business to support meaningful recommendations
Maintain a professional, reliable approach and ensure client satisfaction
Compliance and Quality
Help ensure audit work complies with internal processes and external regulations
Assist in reviewing accounts, tax computations, and accompanying documentation
Keep technical knowledge current through training and CPD activities
What you need
ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
Strong audit experience within an accountancy practice
Experience working with SME clients
Ability to support and guide junior team members
Good working knowledge of Excel
Experience with tools such as Power BI or Data Snipper is useful
An interest in emerging technology including AI is welcomed
