Location: Leicester, Leicestershire 
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 depending one experience 
Contract: Full Time, Hybrid  

A leading independent accountancy and audit practice in Leicester is looking for a talented Audit Senior to join its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA-qualified auditor to work in a supportive, partner-led environment with clear career progression, hybrid working, and exposure to a wide range of clients across the East Midlands. 

The Role of Audit Senior 

As an Audit Senior, you’ll take responsibility for managing and delivering high-quality audits for a variety of owner-managed businesses, SMEs, and charities across multiple sectors. Your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion 

  • Conducting risk assessments and designing audit programmes 

  • Reviewing financial statements and ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and audit standards 

  • Managing client communication and acting as a trusted advisor 

  • Supervising and mentoring junior team members 

  • Supporting business development and contributing to continuous improvement across the audit function 

About You 

We’re looking for an ambitious Audit Senior who is: 

  • ACA or ACCA qualified (or finalist level) with strong technical knowledge 

  • Experienced in leading audits within a UK accountancy practice 

  • Confident in building and maintaining client relationships 

  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects effectively 

  • Proficient with modern audit software and cloud-based accounting systems
