Bookkeeper/Accountant
Location: Worcester, Worcestershire
Salary: £27,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
Contract: Full Time, Office Based
A respected and friendly local accountancy practice in Worcester is looking to recruit a Bookkeeper / Accountant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who is fully AAT qualified and confident managing a varied portfolio of clients.
The firm offers a supportive working environment, strong client relationships, and the chance to broaden your skills across bookkeeping, accounts, VAT, tax and management reporting.
The Role:
You will work closely with a range of small to medium-sized business clients, supporting them with accurate bookkeeping and essential accounting tasks. Responsibilities will include:
Key Duties:

Completing day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple clients

Preparing and submitting VAT returns
-
Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies

Assisting with personal and corporate tax returns
-
Producing monthly and quarterly management accounts
-
Reconciling bank accounts, ledgers, and control accounts

Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting clients with queries

Assisting with general administrative and filing duties as needed

Building strong, professional client relationships
About You:
-
AAT qualified
-
Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential (2+ years)
-
Strong bookkeeping skills with excellent attention to detail

Confident preparing VAT returns, accounts and tax returns
-
Good working knowledge of cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, TaxCalc)

Organised, reliable and able to manage multiple deadlines
-
A strong communicator who enjoys working with clients
