Client Manager – Bristol | £40,000 – £50,000 + Bonus | Hybrid Working
A friendly and growing accountancy practice in Bristol is looking to recruit an experienced Client Manager to join its proactive and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for a practice accountant seeking responsibility, flexibility, and a positive working environment.
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 (depending on experience)
Bonus: Bi-annual bonus based on company performance
Location: Bristol (office base flexible across Thornbury, Wotton-under-Edge, or Westbury-on-Trym)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours (flexible start and finish times)
Working Pattern: Office-based with up to 2 days per week working from home

Key Responsibilities
As Client Manager, responsibilities will include:
Managing a portfolio of clients, reporting directly to the Director
Undertaking all compliance work, including preparation of accounts, corporation tax returns, and personal tax returns using IRIS
Preparing bookkeeping, VAT returns, and management accounts
Working with accounting software including Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, Excel, and IRIS
Acting as the first point of contact for client day-to-day queries
Supporting the Director with more complex tax and planning work
Ensuring all work is completed accurately and to deadline
Candidate Requirements
ACA / ACCA qualified or qualified by experience
Proven experience within an accountancy practice
Strong working knowledge of Xero, Sage, and IRIS (training available if required)
Excellent communication and client-management skills
Ability to work independently, managing deadlines and priorities
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
