An independent accountancy practice with three offices in York is seeking a Fully Qualified Accountant to join their York office as a Client Manager. This role offers hands-on client exposure, team leadership opportunities, and the chance to work across a variety of sectors.

Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of clients across various sectors
Prepare accounts for companies and individuals
Review bookkeeping and prepare VAT returns, offering advice as needed
Prepare company and personal tax returns
Provide hands-on support and advice to clients regularly
Supervise, mentor, and develop junior team members
Work effectively with the wider team to deliver high-quality service
Person Specification
Experience as a Client Manager or Senior Accountant in practice
ACA, ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience
Confident advising clients and building long-term relationships
Proven track record as a team leader, enjoying mentoring and celebrating team success
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong technical proficiency in general accounting
Experience using accounting software within a practice environment
