A growing accountancy practice in Chatham is recruiting a Client Manager to lead a team, manage a portfolio of clients, and drive business growth. This senior leadership role is ideal for an ACCA, ACA, or CIMA-qualified accountant with proven experience in practice, client relationship management, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Client Service & Retention

  • Own and manage client relationships across your team’s portfolio

  • Maximise client retention and identify opportunities to enhance client experience

  • Ensure all outputs meet high standards of quality and compliance

Tax Planning & Advisory

  • Deliver strategic tax planning and advisory services, including FD services

  • Ensure all practice production, deadlines, and quality/compliance standards are met

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and mentor your team, helping them reach their potential

  • Monitor team performance and financial outcomes to achieve targets

  • Inspire your team to adopt a commercial and growth-focused mindset

Strategic Insight & Business Development

  • Provide data-driven updates on team financial performance, client service, and portfolio growth

  • Identify opportunities for improvement and contribute ideas to support future direction of the firm

  • Build knowledge of client needs and market trends to stay ahead of the industry

Experience and Qualifications

  • ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified

  • Proven senior leadership and management experience within an accountancy practice

  • Track record of growing client portfolios and helping client businesses succeed

  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic insight

  • Experience with Xero or ability to adapt to new accounting software

  • Excellent client service, communication, and team development skills
