Key Responsibilities:
Manage a varied portfolio of clients and act as their main point of contact
Prepare year-end accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited Companies
Prepare corporation and personal tax returns
Prepare and submit VAT returns
Carry out bookkeeping tasks and prepare management accounts
Prepare and file Companies House submissions (e.g., confirmation statements, company changes)
Communicate with clients to request records and clarify queries
Provide general support and advice on day-to-day accounting and tax matters
Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients when required
Requirements:
Part-qualified, qualified by experience, or AAT/ACCA/ACA qualified
Minimum 3–4 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice
Good working knowledge of accounting software (IRIS, Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Dext)
Strong understanding of UK tax and accounting regulations
Confident communicator with a client-friendly attitude
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently
