My client, an Independent firm of Accountants based in Aylesbury are looking for a proactive and client-focused Client Manager to join their team. This is a key role supporting a varied portfolio of clients across different sectors. You’ll be responsible for managing client relationships and overseeing their day-to-day accounting and compliance needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied portfolio of clients across a wide range of sectors and act as their main point of contact
- Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Prepare corporation and personal tax returns
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Carry out bookkeeping tasks and prepare management accounts
- Prepare and file Companies House submissions (e.g. confirmation statements, changes to company details)
- Communicate with clients to request records and clarify queries
- Provide general support and advice on day-to-day client accounting and tax matters
- Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients when required
- Part-qualified, qualified by experience, AAT/ACCA/ACA qualified
- Minimum 3–4 years of experience in a UK accountancy practice
- Good working knowledge of accounting software (Iris, Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Dext etc.)
- Strong understanding of UK tax and accounting regulations
- Confident communicator with a client-friendly attitude
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently
