Role Overview – Corporate Tax Assistant Manager

The Corporate Tax Assistant Manager will manage corporate client portfolios, ensure compliance, and support advisory projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and submitting Corporation Tax computations and CT600s

  • Managing and supporting compliance for a portfolio of corporate clients

  • Liaising with HMRC regarding tax queries

  • Supporting routine tax advisory work

  • Assisting Tax Partners and senior staff with technical tax research and client meetings

  • Preparing and circulating meeting notes and action points

  • Providing technical guidance to junior team members

Candidate Requirements

  • Working towards ACA and/or CTA qualification

  • Previous experience in Corporate Tax within an accountancy practice

  • Strong understanding of UK Corporation Tax legislation

  • Confident using tax software and IT systems

  • Ability to manage client relationships and deadlines effectively

  • Proactive in developing technical knowledge

  • Keen interest in developing a tax specialism (e.g., academies, insolvencies, or not-for-profits)
