Due to continued growth, the firm is seeking a Manager or ambitious Assistant Manager to join its Corporate Tax team in Manchester. This client-facing position offers an opportunity to lead both compliance and advisory engagements across a diverse portfolio, guiding clients through complex tax issues while mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to the firm’s high standards of service excellence.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the delivery of corporate tax compliance and advisory services across a varied client portfolio.

Review corporation tax computations and returns, ensuring technical accuracy and timely submission in line with HMRC requirements.

Provide proactive and relevant tax advice on areas such as group relief, capital allowances, loss utilisation, and restructuring.

Mentor and support junior team members to ensure quality outputs and professional growth.

Liaise with HMRC to manage enquiries and correspondence effectively.

Identify and develop opportunities for tax planning and value-added services.

Record chargeable time accurately and ensure optimal recovery of billable hours.

Plan and manage workload efficiently to meet both client expectations and internal review schedules.
Key Requirements

ACA / ACCA qualified (CTA desirable or working towards).

Strong technical knowledge of corporate tax legislation and compliance processes.

Proven experience in client management and delivery of tax advisory engagements.
