Hands-on experience with financial statements, bookkeeping, payroll, and tax returns

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for diverse clients
Perform bookkeeping tasks and support personal tax return preparation
Manage wages journals and liaise with HMRC
Engage in manual and online bookkeeping, progressing to payroll responsibilities
Ensure accuracy and compliance in accounts and tax returns
Support clients via email, phone, and meetings, including guidance on accounting software
Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities for business improvements and efficiencies
Additional Responsibilities:
Contribute to the effective running of the accounts function, identifying areas for improvement
Enhance competence in accounting software and supporting applications
Promote the firm’s services and ethos to clients and the wider community
Stay updated on industry practices and business developments
Participate in training sessions and workshops for professional development
Requirements:
AAT qualification desirable
Strong knowledge of financial management principles
Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero
Experience in financial accounting and reporting
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
