Key Responsibilities
Prepare statutory accounts under FRS 101, FRS 102, and SORP 102
Assist the accounts team on client accounts from planning to completion
Identify and resolve accounting matters, referring complex issues to managers when needed
Compile management accounts from incomplete records
Liaise directly with clients to ensure timely delivery of services and maintain professional relationships
Resolve client queries and manage workload effectively
Use Excel to present and analyse key financial information
Maintain organized and up-to-date client files
Prepare accounts for complex clients
Support corporate and personal tax compliance and planning where appropriate
Draft letters to clients, HMRC, and statutory bodies
Collaborate with Account Supervisors, Partners, and team members on client accounts
Complete VAT returns, bank reconciliations, P11D, and other ad hoc tasks
Assist audit work during peak periods, if required
Candidate Requirements
Part-qualified ACA/ACCA (or equivalent), minimum 2 years’ experience
Minimum 2 years’ accounts experience in a similar role
Proficiency with cloud-based accounting software such as Xero and Sage
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills
Proactive, resourceful, and able to work to deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships internally and externally
