Role Overview
The Payroll Adviser will manage high volumes of payroll data for a diverse client base, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. This role is ideal for candidates with 3–4 years’ payroll bureau experience, looking to work in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Collect, input, and process payroll data efficiently using payroll software
Calculate net pay for employees and ensure accuracy
Prepare and submit HMRC returns: FPS, EPS, P45, P46 via RTI
Manage auto-enrolment processes and liaise with pensions providers
Balance payroll figures and produce monthly and year-end reports
Maintain compliance with payroll legislation, CIS, and PAYE regulations
Provide excellent client service and respond promptly to queries
Liaise with HMRC, DWP, and associated regulatory bodies
Candidate Requirements
3–4 years’ experience in payroll bureau operations
Strong technical knowledge of payroll, HMRC reporting, and compliance
Excellent communication and client service skills
Highly organized, motivated, and able to work under pressure
Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team
Positive attitude and initiative-driven
