Role Overview

The Payroll Adviser will manage high volumes of payroll data for a diverse client base, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. This role is ideal for candidates with 3–4 years’ payroll bureau experience, looking to work in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, input, and process payroll data efficiently using payroll software

  • Calculate net pay for employees and ensure accuracy

  • Prepare and submit HMRC returns: FPS, EPS, P45, P46 via RTI

  • Manage auto-enrolment processes and liaise with pensions providers

  • Balance payroll figures and produce monthly and year-end reports

  • Maintain compliance with payroll legislation, CIS, and PAYE regulations

  • Provide excellent client service and respond promptly to queries

  • Liaise with HMRC, DWP, and associated regulatory bodies

Candidate Requirements

  • 3–4 years’ experience in payroll bureau operations

  • Strong technical knowledge of payroll, HMRC reporting, and compliance

  • Excellent communication and client service skills

  • Highly organized, motivated, and able to work under pressure

  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team

  • Positive attitude and initiative-driven
