Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate payroll information by collating, calculating, and entering data
Update payroll records including employee changes, benefits, deductions, and exemptions
Prepare payroll reports detailing earnings, tax deductions, leave, and non-taxable wages
Calculate payroll liabilities including income tax, National Insurance, and statutory contributions
Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to payroll-related queries
Ensure payroll operations comply with internal procedures and current legislation
Maintain confidentiality and data accuracy at all times
Person Specification
Minimum 2 years’ experience working within an accountancy practice
Strong payroll processing knowledge and attention to detail
Confident handling payroll queries from employees and clients
Well-organised with the ability to manage deadlines effectively
Comfortable working with digital payroll systems and reports
