A long-established, family-run chartered accountancy practice in Carnforth is seeking an experienced Payroll Client Manager / Payroll Administrator to join their modern and forward-thinking team. Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate payroll information by collating, calculating, and entering data
Update payroll records including employee changes, benefits, deductions, and exemptions
Prepare payroll reports covering earnings, tax deductions, leave, and non-taxable wages
Calculate payroll liabilities including PAYE, National Insurance, and statutory contributions
Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to payroll-related queries
Ensure all payroll operations comply with internal procedures and current legislation
Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of payroll data
Person Specification
Minimum 2 years’ experience working within an accountancy practice
Strong technical payroll knowledge and attention to detail
Confident handling payroll queries from employees and clients
Well-organised with the ability to manage deadlines effectively
Comfortable working with modern payroll systems and digital processes
