A long-established, family-run chartered accountancy practice in Carnforth is seeking an experienced Payroll Client Manager / Payroll Administrator to join their modern and forward-thinking team. Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate payroll information by collating, calculating, and entering data

  • Update payroll records including employee changes, benefits, deductions, and exemptions

  • Prepare payroll reports covering earnings, tax deductions, leave, and non-taxable wages

  • Calculate payroll liabilities including PAYE, National Insurance, and statutory contributions

  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to payroll-related queries

  • Ensure all payroll operations comply with internal procedures and current legislation

  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of payroll data

Person Specification

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working within an accountancy practice

  • Strong technical payroll knowledge and attention to detail

  • Confident handling payroll queries from employees and clients

  • Well-organised with the ability to manage deadlines effectively

  • Comfortable working with modern payroll systems and digital processes
