Key Responsibilities

As a Payroll Executive, you will:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients, processing weekly and monthly payrolls including starters, leavers, personal changes, holiday pay, and statutory payments

  • Prepare RTI submissions, auto-enrolment contributions, and year-end payroll processes

  • Address and resolve client queries via email and telephone

  • Maintain high levels of accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance

  • Support continuous process improvement and team collaboration

  • Provide hands-on payroll expertise across complex and multi-payroll environments

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ payroll experience in a professional practice environment

  • Knowledge of RTI, auto-enrolment, and statutory payroll calculations

  • Hands-on experience with IRIS Payroll Professional preferred (training provided if needed)

  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills

  • Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to work independently, proactively, and accurately under pressure

  • Relevant payroll qualifications (e.g., CIPP) desirable but not essential
