Payroll Senior
Location: Leeds or Sheffield
Hours: Full time (hybrid available)
Salary: Up to £32,000

The Role
- Manage a portfolio of payroll clients from start to finish, including a variety of workplace pension schemes
- Process BACs payments for clients
- Liaise directly with HMRC regarding payroll matters
- Set up new payroll clients and handle PAYE scheme closures
- Undertake advanced payroll tasks, including setting up pension schemes and payroll analysis
- Respond to payroll enquiries from clients, employees, and internal teams
- Assist with the training and development of payroll administrators
- Communicate with clients via phone and email
General Administration
- Maintain payroll files, records, and databases
- Handle ad hoc queries and administrative tasks
- Support team development through spreadsheet and document analysis tasks
- Assist managers with organisational tasks and make recommendations on payroll processes
About You
- Ability to work independently under pressure and prioritise workload effectively
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Collaborative, with a helpful and professional manner
- Willingness to learn and develop skills
- GCSE Maths and English A-C (or equivalent) required
- Experience in a payroll bureau environment preferred
- Knowledge of BrightPay software beneficial
- CIPP qualification desirable but not essential
