Payroll Senior – Leeds or Sheffield | Up to £32,000

With over 40 years of experience and fee income of approximately £12m, the firm delivers personalised, proactive accounting and advisory solutions to clients of all sizes.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of payroll clients from onboarding to ongoing processing, including various workplace pension schemes
Process BACs payments and liaise directly with HMRC
Set up new payroll clients and handle PAYE scheme closures
Undertake advanced payroll tasks including pension scheme setup and payroll analysis
Respond to payroll enquiries from clients, employees, and internal teams
Support training and development of payroll administrators
Maintain payroll records, files, and databases
Assist managers with organisational tasks and recommend process improvements
About You
Ability to work independently under pressure and prioritise workload effectively
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Collaborative, professional, and proactive
Willingness to learn and develop payroll expertise
GCSE Maths and English A-C (or equivalent)
Experience in a payroll bureau environment preferred
Knowledge of BrightPay software advantageous
CIPP qualification desirable but not essential
