Role Overview
We are seeking a technically-strong Personal Tax Senior to join their tax team. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality personal tax compliance and advisory work for a diverse portfolio of individual clients, working closely with senior management to enhance service delivery and tax planning solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review complex personal tax computations and self-assessment returns (including rental income, capital gains, pensions and other personal tax areas)
Provide specialist advice on personal tax planning, inheritance tax, estate planning and other personal tax strategies
Assist with HMRC investigations, disclosures and enquiries where required
Act as a key point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong professional relationships
Work collaboratively with colleagues on broader tax and advisory assignments for mixed client bases
Support process improvements, quality standards and technical development across the tax team
Mentor and develop junior tax staff as part of the wider practice team
Ideal Candidate Profile
Fully qualified (ATT / CTA / ACCA / ACA) or strong qualified-by-experience in a tax or accountancy practice environment
Demonstrable personal tax experience including self assessment, rental, capital gains, estate and inheritance tax work
Excellent technical knowledge of UK personal tax legislation and compliance requirements
Confident communicator with strong client relationship and advisory skills
Comfortable using cloud accounting and tax software and modern digital tools
Detail oriented, organised and able to manage multiple deadlines independently
