Practice Accountant – Leeds (Horsforth)

Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, providing end-to-end accounting and advisory services across multiple sectors
Key Responsibilities

Prepare statutory accounts, corporation tax computations, and related filings for a varied client base

Assist in the preparation of management accounts, budgets, and forecasts, offering insight and commentary

Review accounting records, reconciliations, and disclosures to ensure compliance with UK GAAP / FRS 102

Liaise with clients to understand business challenges and provide commercial, practical advice

Support senior colleagues with advisory projects and client development initiatives

Promote the use of cloud-accounting and digital solutions, driving process improvement and efficiency

Mentor junior staff, review work, and provide guidance and training

Stay up to date with accounting standards, tax legislation, and industry trends, sharing knowledge with the wider team
Ideal Candidate Profile / Skills & Experience

Part-qualified (ACA/ACCA/ACMA) or qualified by experience within an accountancy practice

Demonstrable experience preparing accounts and tax computations for varied client portfolios

Strong working knowledge of accounting standards (UK GAAP / FRS 102) and compliance requirements

Proficiency with cloud-accounting systems and practice management software

Excellent attention to detail, analytical ability, and problem-solving mindset

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-first approach
