About the Role
We’re representing a trusted and long-established independent accountancy and business advisory firm with offices across the North of England and Scotland. As part of their national Tax Consultancy team, they are seeking a Private Client Tax Manager to join their Leeds office. This role will focus on delivering high-quality tax advisory services to private clients, including proactive planning, client meetings, and project management. It offers an excellent opportunity for a CTA-qualified tax professional to progress their career in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities

Liaise with clients and internal teams to deliver private client tax advisory services

Conduct new client meetings and identify tax planning opportunities

Deliver proactive tax planning advice to individuals, families, and business owners

Manage advisory projects from planning through to completion, reviewing the work of junior colleagues

Provide line management, mentoring, and support for Tax Seniors and Trainees

Monitor work in progress, recoveries, and billing for your portfolio

Respond to ad hoc tax queries from across the wider firm

Provide expertise in specialist areas such as agricultural tax and trusts (desirable)
Ideal Candidate Profile
-
CTA qualified, with proven experience leading tax advisory projects

Strong technical knowledge of personal tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and wider private client planning

Experience advising on agricultural tax and trust matters desirable but not essential

A full UK driving licence (essential)

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong client-facing ability

Organised and commercially minded, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, able to work effectively with colleagues across multiple offices
