Semi Senior Accountant – Leeds
Salary: Up to £30,000
Location: Leeds
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week (flexible around core hours 10:30am – 4:00pm)
Our client has an excellent opportunity for a Semi Senior Accountant to join their friendly and hardworking team in Leeds. This is a fantastic chance for an enthusiastic individual looking to take the next step in their accountancy career within a supportive and flexible environment.
The successful candidate will have strong communication and people skills, as maintaining great client relationships is key to the service they provide.
Key Responsibilities

Preparation of financial statements for small and medium-sized limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships

Corporation tax calculations and submissions

Preparation of management accounts and VAT returns

Completion of self-assessment tax returns
-
Potential to attend client meetings and liaise with directors and business owners

Assist with the training of apprentices

Company Secretarial duties (desirable)

Preparation of P11Ds (desirable)

Payroll experience (desirable)

General accountancy and administrative support as required

Strong knowledge of cloud-based packages such as QuickBooks and Xero
Skills & Experience Required

Minimum 3 years’ experience in an accountancy practice

Working towards or obtained relevant professional qualifications
