Job Description
A multi-disciplined professional services company that includes Chartered Accountants, Tax Advisers, Financial Planners, and Legal professionals. They operate across nine offices in Sheffield, Chesterfield, Barnsley, Rotherham, Wakefield, Leeds, Harrogate, Huddersfield, and Buxton.
This is an opportunity to join an expanding practice based in their Rotherham office. They will work with you to develop your career, provide you with the guidance and training you require to reach your potential, and allow you to work alongside highly experienced accountants and other professionals. They offer both on-site and external training.
Job Purpose:
Use your knowledge and skills to deliver a first-class service to their clients while providing accounts and audit support to a busy accountancy practice.
Duties to Include:
Client bookkeeping
Assisting with the management of a portfolio of clients
Preparation of basic company financial statements
Preparation of interim management accounts
Preparation of personal tax returns
Preparation of partnership accounts and returns
Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
Potential to attend client meetings and interact with directors and business owners
Assisting with the training of apprentices
Company Secretarial Duties (desirable)
Preparation of P11Ds (desirable)
Payroll experience (desirable)
Any other general accountancy/administrative work as required

Skills & Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years experience working in an accountancy practice
Experience with Sage 50, Xero, QuickBooks, Iris, Sage Business Cloud is an advantage

Strong written and technical skills
Strong prioritisation and organisation skills
Ability to handle confidential information
Strong record-keeping skills
Qualifications:
Must be at least studying towards AAT or have completed a relevant university degree
Studying towards ACA/ACCA is also acceptable

Salary: Up to £30,000
Full study support
37.5 hours per week, flexible working around core hours (10:30 am – 4:00 pm)
