Semi Senior Accountant
Location: Huddersfield, HD1
Hours: Full time - flexible and hybrid options available upon completion of probation
Salary: Up to £30,000

Role Overview
- Join a supportive and experienced team in the Huddersfield office
- Deliver accounts and audit support for a varied client base
- Clear development pathway and hands-on mentoring
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with managing a portfolio of clients
- Prepare company financial statements and interim management accounts
- Prepare personal tax returns and partnership accounts/returns
- Attend client meetings and liaise directly with directors/business owners
- Support training of apprentices
- Carry out Company Secretarial duties and P11D preparation (desirable)
- General administrative and accountancy support as needed
Candidate Profile
- Proactive, organised, and forward-thinking
- Self-motivated with strong communication and time management skills
- Comfortable handling confidential information and maintaining records accurately
Experience & Skills
- 2–3 years in an accountancy practice
- Experience with Sage 50, Xero, QuickBooks, Iris, and Sage Business Cloud (preferred)
- Strong technical, written, and telephone communication abilities
Qualifications

Studying towards AAT, ACA, or ACCA, or holding a relevant accounting degree
