About the Role

We’re representing a forward-thinking accountancy and business advisory firm that’s part of one of the UK and Ireland’s leading professional networks. The Doncaster office is seeking a motivated and ambitious Semi-Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This role offers exposure to a diverse client portfolio, supporting both accounts preparation and, where relevant, audit assignments. Whether you prefer a mixed audit/accounts role or a focus purely on accounts, the position can be tailored to suit your experience and long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accounts for a varied portfolio of clients including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies

  • Support clients with bookkeeping, queries, and day-to-day financial management

  • Prepare corporation tax computations and assist with submissions for review

  • Take part in audit planning and fieldwork where applicable

  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure compliance with accounting standards and deadlines

  • Build strong client relationships through proactive communication and excellent service delivery

  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members as needed

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Part-qualified ACA or ACCA, or actively studying towards qualification

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice

  • Strong organisational and communication skills with a client-focused mindset

  • Proactive and adaptable approach, comfortable working across both audit and accounts

  • A positive team player with a desire to grow professionally

  • Confident using accounting software and Microsoft Office, with excellent attention to detail
