About the Role
We’re representing a forward-thinking accountancy and business advisory firm that’s part of one of the UK and Ireland’s leading professional networks. The Doncaster office is seeking a motivated and ambitious Semi-Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This role offers exposure to a diverse client portfolio, supporting both accounts preparation and, where relevant, audit assignments. Whether you prefer a mixed audit/accounts role or a focus purely on accounts, the position can be tailored to suit your experience and long-term goals.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accounts for a varied portfolio of clients including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
Support clients with bookkeeping, queries, and day-to-day financial management
Prepare corporation tax computations and assist with submissions for review
Take part in audit planning and fieldwork where applicable
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure compliance with accounting standards and deadlines
Build strong client relationships through proactive communication and excellent service delivery
Provide guidance and support to junior team members as needed
Ideal Candidate Profile
Part-qualified ACA or ACCA, or actively studying towards qualification
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice
Strong organisational and communication skills with a client-focused mindset
Proactive and adaptable approach, comfortable working across both audit and accounts
A positive team player with a desire to grow professionally
Confident using accounting software and Microsoft Office, with excellent attention to detail
