Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review statutory accounts, corporation tax computations, and related filings for a varied client base

Assist with management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting, delivering insights and commentary to clients

Support senior staff in tax planning, advisory work, and completion of compliance assignments

Review and ensure accuracy of accounting records, reconciliations, and disclosures in line with UK GAAP/FRS 102

Liaise with clients to understand their business needs and provide practical, commercial advice

Collaborate with colleagues on process improvement, cloud-accounting tools, and best-practice workflows

Supervise or mentor junior team members as required

Keep up to date with changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry developments
Ideal Candidate Profile / Skills & Experience
-
AAT Qualified, qualified by experience or part-qualified (ACA/ACCA/ACMA or equivalent) with practice experience

Proven background in preparing accounts, tax computations, and providing advisory support in a practice environment

Strong technical understanding of accounting standards (UK GAAP / FRS 102) and tax compliance
-
Proficient with cloud-accounting software and comfortable using technology for efficiency

Excellent attention to detail, analytical ability, and accuracy

Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a client-focused approach
