Role Overview
We’re looking for a motivated Semi-Senior Accountant to join the team. This role offers the chance to work on a broad portfolio of clients, handle diverse accounting and tax assignments, and develop your career within a dynamic practice environment.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders

Produce management accounts, cashflow forecasts, and financial reporting packs

Complete VAT returns and handle VAT compliance and submissions

Assist with corporation tax and personal tax computations, and related compliance work

Maintain client bookkeeping, reconciliations, and ledger control accounts

Help with payroll or PAYE administration where required

Liaise directly with clients — build relationships, provide practical advice and answer queries

Support senior staff with audit, tax planning and advisory work when needed

Contribute to adoption and efficient use of cloud accounting and practice software
Ideal Candidate Profile

Part-qualified (ACCA / ACA / equivalent) or experienced accountant with practice background

Prior experience in preparing accounts, tax, VAT, bookkeeping and management accounts for a varied client base

Comfortable using cloud accounting systems and modern accounting software

Strong technical accounting knowledge, good numeracy and analytical skills

Excellent communication and client-facing skills with an approachable, service-oriented attitude

Organised, self-motivated, and capable of handling a portfolio independently

Team-player, able to work collaboratively and support junior members when needed
