Role Overview
We’re seeking a driven Semi-Senior Accountant to join the team. This role offers exposure to a wide range of accountancy, compliance and advisory work across a varied client portfolio, with opportunities for technical development and increased responsibility over time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders

  • Assist with the production of management accounts, budgeting and financial reporting

  • Prepare and submit VAT returns and support VAT compliance work

  • Support corporation tax and personal tax computations and filings

  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping, reconciliations and ledger control accounts

  • Respond to client queries and build strong working relationships

  • Work with cloud accounting software and support digital process improvements

  • Assist senior colleagues on audit, tax planning or advisory tasks where needed

  • Contribute to internal process improvement and knowledge sharing across the team

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Part-qualified accountant (ACCA / ACA / equivalent) or strong candidate with relevant practice experience

  • Prior experience in an accountancy practice preparing accounts, VAT and bookkeeping work

  • Competency with cloud accounting systems (such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage)

  • Excellent technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail

  • Strong communication and client relationship skills

  • Organised, proactive and able to manage deadlines efficiently
