Role Overview
We’re seeking a driven Semi-Senior Accountant to join the team. This role offers exposure to a wide range of accountancy, compliance and advisory work across a varied client portfolio, with opportunities for technical development and increased responsibility over time.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
Assist with the production of management accounts, budgeting and financial reporting
Prepare and submit VAT returns and support VAT compliance work
Support corporation tax and personal tax computations and filings
Maintain accurate bookkeeping, reconciliations and ledger control accounts
Respond to client queries and build strong working relationships
Work with cloud accounting software and support digital process improvements
Assist senior colleagues on audit, tax planning or advisory tasks where needed
Contribute to internal process improvement and knowledge sharing across the team
Ideal Candidate Profile
Part-qualified accountant (ACCA / ACA / equivalent) or strong candidate with relevant practice experience
Prior experience in an accountancy practice preparing accounts, VAT and bookkeeping work
Competency with cloud accounting systems (such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage)
Excellent technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
Strong communication and client relationship skills
Organised, proactive and able to manage deadlines efficiently
