Role Overview

We’re seeking a capable Semi-Senior / Senior Accountant to join the team, working across a broad range of compliance and accounts work. This role is ideal for a candidate with solid practice experience looking to take on increased technical responsibility and client interaction within a supportive firm environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders

  • Assist with management accounts and interim reporting where required

  • Prepare VAT returns and support bookkeeping workflows

  • Assist with personal and corporate tax compliance and filings

  • Liaise directly with clients to clarify queries and deliver trusted accounting support

  • Support senior team members and review work prepared by junior staff

  • Help maintain quality and compliance across all deliverables

  • Contribute to a range of advisory, internal process or client enhancement projects

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Part-qualified (ACCA/ACA) or qualified by experience with practice exposure

  • Typically 2+ years’ accountancy practice experience

  • Technical grounding in accounts, tax and compliance work

  • Competent with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or similar)

  • Effective communicator with strong attention to detail

  • Organised, self-motivated and client-focused in delivery
