A dynamic and innovative Chartered Certified Accountants firm in Lancaster is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. This role is ideal for a qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA preferred, or qualified by experience) with 5+ years’ practice experience, who can manage a client portfolio, provide proactive advice, and build strong client relationships.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports
Ensure tax compliance and advisory services for clients
Provide advisory services, including business growth and reporting
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Assist with a client portfolio independently and develop towards leading a small team
Use accounting software such as Xero, BrightPay (for payroll), and IRIS (for accounts and tax returns)
Candidate Requirements
5+ years’ experience in a practice environment
ACCA/ACA qualified, or qualified by experience
Experience with Xero, BrightPay, and IRIS
Strong client relationship management skills
Ability to manage workload independently and guide junior team members
Professional, proactive, and detail-oriented approach
