Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accounts for limited companies, including complex accounts for small businesses up to £7 million turnover

  • Act as a Client Support Manager, maintaining strong relationships and providing tailored advice

  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, offering guidance on accounts preparation, tax compliance, and VAT returns

  • Provide training and support to clients on bookkeeping software, particularly Xero

  • Offer on-the-job training to team members to support their professional growth

  • Represent the firm and its values when building relationships with existing and prospective clients

  • Ensure all work meets high standards of accuracy, compliance, and client service

Requirements:

  • Several years of experience in a practice environment

  • Experience preparing accounts for small businesses (up to £7 million turnover)

  • ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualifications desirable, but practical experience is highly valued

  • Previous experience in mentoring or training junior staff preferred

  • Excellent communication and client management skills

  • Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and commitment to continuous improvement

  • Team player with a proactive and client-focused mindset
