Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accounts for limited companies, including complex accounts for small businesses up to £7 million turnover
Act as a Client Support Manager, maintaining strong relationships and providing tailored advice
Supervise and mentor junior staff, offering guidance on accounts preparation, tax compliance, and VAT returns
Provide training and support to clients on bookkeeping software, particularly Xero
Offer on-the-job training to team members to support their professional growth
Represent the firm and its values when building relationships with existing and prospective clients
Ensure all work meets high standards of accuracy, compliance, and client service
Requirements:
Several years of experience in a practice environment
Experience preparing accounts for small businesses (up to £7 million turnover)
ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualifications desirable, but practical experience is highly valued
Previous experience in mentoring or training junior staff preferred
Excellent communication and client management skills
Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and commitment to continuous improvement
Team player with a proactive and client-focused mindset
