An independent accountancy practice on the outskirts of York is seeking a fully qualified Senior Accountant to join their accounts team. This full-time role offers the opportunity to manage client accounts, lead and train junior staff, and work across a variety of accounting and tax duties.
Salary & Benefits:
£38,000 – £50,000 per year, dependent on experience and qualifications
Full-time, permanent position

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
Produce and submit personal and corporate tax returns
Prepare bookkeeping and VAT returns
Assist in the production of management accounts
Lead, train, and review junior staff work
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory regulations
Requirements:
Fully qualified ACA or ACCA accountant
3–4 years post-qualification experience
Experience leading and mentoring junior staff
Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting and tax standards
Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organisational skills
