Senior Accountant – Wirral | Full-Time | £32,000–£38,000

Salary: £32,000–£38,000 (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities
-
Complete statutory accounts and corporation tax returns for sole traders through to limited companies
-
Prepare individual tax returns
-
Perform client bookkeeping and prepare/review VAT returns
-
Liaise with clients face-to-face, via telephone, and in writing
-
Correspond with HMRC regarding client matters
-
Manage a varied client base, ensuring all deadlines are met

Utilize accounting software such as Xero, Quickfile, and TaxCalc (knowledge desirable)

Use Microsoft 365 to support reporting and communication
Key Requirements
-
ACCA or ACA qualified; part-qualified considered with relevant experience

Minimum 3 years’ experience in an accountancy practice or similar role

Highly self-motivated, reliable, and organised
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Able to prioritise workload and make decisions independently

Competent with modern accounting technology
