The role involves managing a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple business sectors, providing accounts, tax, and advisory services. Senior Accountant Responsibilities
Prepare statutory year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
Extensive knowledge and preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
Liaise with clients regarding accounts, tax returns, and ad hoc queries via telephone/email
Review and complete work of less senior staff
Prepare management accounts for clients
Manage a portfolio of self-assessment and partnership tax returns
Support and guide less experienced staff members
Work independently to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
Candidate Requirements
5+ years’ relevant accounting experience
Experience in practice with client-facing responsibilities
Knowledge of Iris, Xero, QuickBooks, Sage
Able to work independently and under time pressure
Strong communication skills and confident client management
Friendly, team-oriented, and proactive approach
