Senior Accountant – Leeds, LS1 | £35,000 - £45,000
Hours: 37.5 per week
Location: Leeds City Centre (5-minute walk from Leeds Train Station)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities
Manage and develop your own portfolio of clients
Prepare draft financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
Assist partners with client finalisation meetings
Complete draft business tax computations for review by the tax manager
Raise and resolve client queries professionally and efficiently
Ensure all client files are accurate, complete, and delivered on time
Prepare management accounts and provide financial insights where required
Communicate directly with clients on bookkeeping and tax-related matters
Support and mentor junior team members to maintain quality and accuracy
Plan and manage workload to meet deadlines and billing targets
About You
ACA/ACCA qualified or QBE with relevant experience in practice
Strong technical understanding of accounting and taxation principles
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Confident communicator who enjoys building strong client relationships
Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff (desirable)
Proficient in cloud-based accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks
