A well-established, independent chartered practice near Ilkeston is recruiting a Semi Senior or Senior Accountant to join their growing team. Hands-on experience with statutory accounts, CT600s, VAT, and management accounts
Key Responsibilities
Manage a mixed portfolio of clients across multiple industries
Prepare and review statutory accounts, corporation tax returns (CT600s), VAT returns, and management accounts
Liaise directly with clients and HMRC regarding queries and filings
Supervise and support junior team members
Assist partners with ad hoc accounting and reporting tasks
Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and deadlines
Ideal Candidate
ACA or ACCA qualified (Part-Qualified considered depending on experience)
Minimum 3 years’ experience in UK accountancy practice
Confident in managing deadlines and reviewing work
Strong communication and client relationship skills
Experience with accounting systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage
Proactive, organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
