An established and progressive Chartered Accountants firm in Retford is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. This full-time role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse client portfolio while mentoring junior staff and supporting the partners on key projects.
Salary & Benefits:
£40,000 – £45,000 per year (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review statutory accounts for limited companies
Complete corporation tax computations and liaise with HMRC as required
Prepare accounts and tax returns for sole traders and partnerships
Oversee and review VAT returns
Supervise and mentor junior staff
Act as a key contact for a portfolio of clients, providing day-to-day support and advice
Support partners with ad hoc assignments and project work
Requirements:
ACA or ACCA qualified
5+ years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice
Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and client workloads
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
