An independent accountancy practice in Redditch is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage a portfolio of clients and provide expert accounting and tax advice. This role offers hands-on experience, the opportunity to mentor junior staff, and exposure to varied financial responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements
Lead budgeting and forecasting processes
Support audit and year-end procedures
Ensure compliance with HMRC and relevant financial regulations
Supervise and mentor junior finance staff
Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors and banks
Provide financial analysis to support business decision-making
Person Specification
Fully qualified: ACA or ACCA
Minimum 5 years’ experience in an accountancy practice
Strong technical accounting knowledge
Proficient in accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, and advanced Excel
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
Experience managing or mentoring a small team preferred
