Senior Accountant – Swansea, South Wales | £25,000-£40,000 


Our client, a growing private accountancy practice in Swansea, is seeking a Senior Accountant (Qualified or QBE) to join their dynamic team. This is a full-time, permanent role offering competitive pay, career progression, and excellent employee benefits.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies using Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, Kashflow, TaxCalc, and Microsoft Office 

  • Prepare corporation tax computations and returns 

  • Prepare VAT returns and self-assessment tax returns 

  • Ensure strong understanding of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting procedures 

  • Part-manage a small team of bookkeepers and accounts assistants and assist with internal training 

  • Communicate effectively with clients as needed 

  • Undertake other reasonable business tasks within the practice 

Candidate Requirements 

  • AAT or ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience 

  • Team-oriented and comfortable coaching junior staff 

  • Able to work to deadlines with a desire to exceed expectations 

  • Confident managing own workload and flexible in approach 

  • Enthusiastic, hardworking, and a self-starter 

  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail 

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial management
