Salary: £33,000 – £35,000 + bonuses (DOE)

The Role
-
Senior-level position combining hands-on accounting work with management responsibilities

Work closely with the Practice Manager and Director to support day-to-day operations, workflow planning, client management and process improvements

Supervise and mentor staff, contributing to team development and high-quality client service delivery
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review statutory accounts for SMEs, limited companies, partnerships and sole traders

Produce management accounts, VAT returns and corporation tax computations
-
Review and support the work of junior staff, offering ongoing training and guidance
-
Manage client relationships and act as a trusted point of contact

Support workflow management, onboarding processes and internal system improvements
-
Assist with business development activities and help drive long-term firm growth

Champion best practice across cloud-based accounting systems (Xero, QuickBooks, etc.)
Ideal Candidate Profile
-
ACA/ACCA qualified, part qualified, studier or QBE
-
3–5 years’ experience within an accountancy practice
-
Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, tax compliance and practice processes
-
Confident in reviewing work, mentoring colleagues and providing constructive feedback
-
Excellent organisational, communication and client-handling skills
-
Ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple deadlines
-
Proficient in cloud accounting platforms and digital workflow tools
