Senior Accountant – Huddersfield
Location: Huddersfield (Shepley), West Yorkshire
Employment: Full-time (Office-based/hybrid considered)
Reports to: Senior Partner
Salary: £37,000 - £45,000

Role Overview:
The Senior Accountant will manage a varied portfolio, delivering statutory accounts, tax compliance, advisory services, and cloud-based finance support. The role requires strong technical capability, confident client interaction, and the ability to support internal improvement and team development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare statutory year-end accounts under UK GAAP
Produce and review corporate and personal tax computations and manage HMRC submissions
Deliver accurate and insightful management accounts
Manage VAT, PAYE, and corporation tax compliance
Provide proactive advisory input on tax planning, business growth, and operational efficiency
Support and onboard clients using cloud accounting platforms
Mentor and develop junior team members
Contribute to process improvements and quality enhancements across the practice
Person Specification:
Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
3–5+ years’ experience in UK practice
Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and tax legislation
Confident with cloud accounting systems
Excellent communication and client relationship skills
High organisational discipline with the ability to prioritise effectively
Professional, proactive, and quality-focused
