Senior Accountant – West Yorkshire (Cleckheaton / Leeds area)

Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)

The Role

  • Join as a Senior Accountant in a dynamic practice environment, delivering high-quality accounting, tax and client advisory services.

  • Work with a varied client portfolio and collaborate with partners, senior management and practice teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review year-end accounts for limited companies, LLPs, partnerships and sole traders

  • Prepare personal and corporation tax computations and related returns

  • Support senior managers and partners with project work and complex client assignments

  • Act as a key point of contact for client queries and liaison throughout the accounts cycle

  • Contribute to internal quality standards and help ensure accuracy across all deliverables

  • Help mentor and guide junior team members where required

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / equivalent) or strong qualified by experience (QBE) candidate

  • Proven background in a general practice accountancy environment

  • Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and UK tax compliance

  • Proficient in major accounting software and comfortable with digital/cloud tools

  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills

  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple assignments to deadline
